About the free e-bike 4 work travel scheme

Worcester City Council are committed to supporting businesses in Worcester through the provision of travel options that support sustainable business travel goals, so that we can all reduce traffic on the roads, and improve employee and community health and wellbeing. 

As part of a pilot study into the use of e-bikes for work related travel Worcester City Council are offering Worcester businesses a chance to trial the use of one or more e-bike(s) and associated kit, for free, during Spring 2022, as part of a pilot study into the use of e-bikes for work related travel in Worcester City.

The free e-bike 4 work travel pilot study

  • We will deliver one or more city e-bikes, each worth £1000, to your business premises to use for the duration of the trial. Plus, a cargo trailer, helmet, battery, and lights. 
  • Your business will need a secure place to store the e-bike and cargo trailer, and insurance against theft, damage, and accident, during the pilot study. 
  • We offer free ‘have a go’ sessions at your business premises and full training and support is available throughout the Spring 2022 study period.
